How long will it be before the color
fades on Rubber Mulch? We use a special
coating that has been lab-tested at 20 years; the product
still looks brand new after 5 years in test-market
areas.

|
Is it good for
my plants? Yes! Rubber Mulch retains
moisture for optimal plant growth, whereas wood mulch robs the
plants of water. Also, wood mulch can generate heat and acids
that can burn your plants' roots.
|
|
|
Is it going to wash
away? Because Rubber Mulch is nearly five
times heavier than wood mulch, it stays in place much better.
Therefore, our mulch is great on inclines and areas with
sufficient water.
|
|
Will Rubber Mulch attract
termites? No! Generally, insects of all kinds do
not breed in Rubber Mulch. This makes our product ideal
around homes and other structures where termites may cause
serious damage.
|
|
|
Will Rubber Mulch help keep weeds
down? Yes, although it does not keep weeds away
completely, Rubber Mulch will not break down or decompose,
providing an environment for weeds to grow in as traditional
wood mulch would. It is recommended that a landscaping fabric
be used to eliminate weeds completely. If a weed control
substance is preferred, this could be sprayed directly over
Rubber Mulch with out the worry of affecting its
color.
|
|
Is Rubber Mulch
expensive? Yes and No. The product is 3-4 times
the cost of wood mulch, but it lasts for 10 years or longer.
When you consider that pine straw and wood mulch fade after 6
weeks and Rubber hasn't faded after 5 years, you can
appreciate the aesthetic value this will add to your
home.
|
|
How do you get yard debris off of the
mulch? Rubber Mulch is heavier than regular
wood mulch, therefore we recommend using a leaf blower on the
low setting. This will remove the debris while leaving the
mulch in place.
|
|
Will the color
fade? No,the colorant applied to the rubber
shreds are specifically designed to resist the fading of the
sunlight that wood mulch cannot prevent. View Colors

|
How much do I need? This
depends, of course, on several factors. Refer to the Benefits
and Uses for more information on measuring how much
Rubber Mulch you will need.
|
|
Will Rubber Mulch harm my
plants? No, in fact this product will help your
plants grow by keeping moisture in the ground rather than
absorbed by the wood mulch.

|
|
What is the best installation
method? The best way to install Rubber Mulch
is by first applying felt then spreading Rubber Mulch 1.5"
thick.
